    Support Lewis and Donahue

I write in support of the re-election of Patti Lewis and Anne Donahue to the Vermont General Assembly. Both women have shown an attentiveness to constituent issues and a solid understanding of the larger issues confronting Vermont.

I am chairman of the Berlin Board of Civil Authority. A year ago the board was asked to comment on the General Assembly’s decision to create a new two-member district consisting of Berlin and a portion of Northfield. The board opposed that configuration, arguing that it was better for each town to have its own representative. The advice was ignored. A benefit of re-electing Patti (who lives in Berlin) and Anne (who lives in Northfield) is that in effect each town will continue to have its own representative.
