Rites

WORCESTER — A funeral service for Frank L. “Doc” Sicely, of Worcester, who died Sept. 25, 2012, was held Saturday, Sept. 29, at Guare & Sons Funeral Home.

The Rev. Jerry Breen, pastor of Worcester United Methodist Church, officiated the service, and many people from the congregation spoke words of remembrance.

Pallbearers included Nicolas LaPointe, Terrance Pellegrino, Michael Webster, Dennis Bador, George Whalen and Robert Herbert.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Hardwick, and the Vermont Army National Guard provided military honors. The American flag was presented to Alice Sicely by Master Sgt. Daniel Landry. Family and friends gathered at the Steak House Restaurant for a reception and a time of remembrance.
