MONTPELIER — The Men’s Store is gone after three and a half years on State Street.
General Manager Fidelma Wyse said the inventory was packed up and moved to the owner’s Church Street location. The Men’s Store and neighboring Salaam Boutique on State Street are owned by Andrea Miksic.
Wyse said Monday that the Men’s Store brand will live on in Burlington, but the clothing business will focus more on the wholesale side.
“We had an exceptional year in wholesale,” Wyse said, so the decision was made to scale back on the retail business and let go of the men’s clothing store in Montpelier.
For more than 20 years, Miksic has been making women’s clothes under the Salaam brand.
Wyse said the Salaam stores and clothing business are doing great and aren’t going anywhere.MORE IN This Just InVermont lawmakers this week approved a bill to regulate for the first time police use of... Full StoryMan cited on license suspension Full StoryPolice: Man burned belongings Full Story -
