BARRE — A Barre man was arrested in St. Johnsbury on charges of possession of cocaine.
Timothy Roberts Jr., 35, was cited Tuesday after a police search of his vehicle.
According to police, officers in St. Johnsbury were called to the parking lot of the Mobil station shortly after 6 p.m. on a report of suspected drug activity.
Shortly after arriving, police began speaking with a male who was in the passenger seat of a red 1997 Subaru Legacy station wagon. During the conversation, police reportedly saw a glass pipe, which is commonly used to smoke illegal drugs.
After receiving written permission to search the vehicle, they seized several smoking devices, a silver spoon and a small pink plastic container. The container held a “white rocklike substance,” which later tested positive for cocaine, police said.
Roberts is to appear in St. Johnsbury criminal court in June.MORE IN This Just InCOLCHESTER — Two year after Lake Champlain flooding destroyed part of it, the Colchester Causeway...
