    Friot distinguished in military, business

I have had the privilege of working with Jeff Friot in multiple capacities since 1999. His dedication to his family, the Barre community, and country are exemplary. I highly recommend him for Barre City Council Ward 2.

My first experience was as Jeff’s Officer Candidate School company commander. He was a well-rounded candidate with strong values and deep-rooted integrity. He quickly rose through the ranks as one of the stronger leaders in his class. Mentally tough and physically strong, Jeff led by example while in the classroom and during field maneuvers.

As a citizen soldier in the Vermont Army National Guard, Jeff served a distinguished tour of duty in Iraq where he was recognized with a Purple Heart.

Most recently I hired Jeff as a sales account manager for SMC Corp. of America. During his employment with SMC Jeff has met or exceeded his sales goals. In 2011, Jeff was recognized by SMC as the “Rookie of the Year” for outstanding sales leadership. This award is given to one person (from a pool of over 100 candidates) in the East region. As an account manager Jeff has demonstrated sound financial management skills, outstanding people skills and an overall strong work ethic.

Jeff’s additional strengths include his strong listening, communication and fiscal management skills. These attributes are critical to being an effective sales account manager at SMC and will serve him well in public office.

As a lifelong Barre native Jeff has demonstrated his commitment to serve his country as a Vermont National Guard soldier and now he aspires to serve the Barre community in public office. I urge you to vote for Jeff Friot in the upcoming election for Barre City Council — Ward 2.
