DUXBURY — A promotional card about brightly colored cat collars made in Vermont is going inside the swag bags for celebrities attending the Oscars.

The product is called Birdsbesafe. The idea is that birds will notice the color on the cat’s collar, telling them they need to fly away.

Nancy Brennan, of Duxbury, founded the business a few years ago. She hopes the exposure will lead to more cats wearing her collars, and allow more songbirds to survive.
