• Man charged with growing marijuana

    CALAIS — A Calais man was arrested on charges of cultivating 50 marijuana plants.

    Christopher Pelloni, 39, was arrested after a police search of his Route 14 home on Thursday.

    Police said they received information that Pelloni was cultivating marijuana in his residence. State police from the Middlesex barracks executed a search warrant at Pelloni’s home and reported finding about 50 marijuana plants along with paraphernalia.

    Pelloni was cited to appear in Barre criminal court in May.
