EAST MONTPELIER — A family fight Monday evening lead to charges for both participants.

Daniel Barnett, 31, and Karen Lachance, 51, both of East Montpelier, were charged with domestic assault following a police investigation into the incident.

According to police, they responded to County Road, on the report of a family fight between Lachance and Barnett, who allegedly got into an argument, which turned physical.

During the fight Lachance allegedly stabbed Barnett with a fork and Barnett allegedly kicked Lachance. Both were issued citations for domestic assault and are scheduled to appear in Barre criminal court to answer to the charge.
