LYNDONVILLE — A Vermont State Police fire investigator says the cause of a fast-moving fire that destroyed a Lyndonville home is unknown but is not suspicious.

The fire in the home of Kevin and Lynn Therrien was reported about 1:30 p.m. Monday.

    No one was hurt.

Kevin Therrien told the Caledonian Record that he and his wife had lived in the house since December and they had just finished remodeling the kitchen.

The Lyndonville Fire Department asked for help from the departments in East Burke and St. Johnsbury.

U.S. Route 5 was closed for several hours.
