FERRISBURGH — Dakin Farm will host the annual spring maple events at its Ferrisburgh and South Burlington locations.
The events, scheduled for two weekends at the end of the month, March 24-25 and March 31-April 1, will celebrate the arrival of spring sugaring and the year’s newest crop of maple syrup.
Visitors will have the chance to sample maple treats and take part in activities, including syrup tastings, boiling demonstrations by maple experts, pancake breakfasts, live music with Banjo Dan & Willy/Bob Degree & The Bluegrass Storm and sugar on snow.
“We take pride in knowing that each year we’re able to bring families, friends and community members together to acknowledge our traditions and celebrate each new sugaring season,” said Dakin Farm owner Sam Cutting IV.
Free samples and a range of maple party activities will be offered at the Ferrisburgh and South Burlington locations. Sap boiling observations, live music, pancake breakfasts and lunch specials will be available only at the Ferrisburgh location.
All events are open to the public and admission is free. More event details can be found www.dakinfarm.com/2012-Sugar-On-Snow.dlp.MORE IN World/National Business
